Albemarle in Miniature
It’s always fun to find out what neat things are being done with designs after they leave my hands, and I love seeing all the different selections which stitchers make. Back in February at the Nashville market, a shop owner from the Netherlands shared what her plans were for one of my most popular designs – Albemarle. Well, I found her update last night in her blog, and thought I’d share it.
Albemarle, which is 178 stitches by 178 stitches, on the 50 count fabric, will be just at 7″ square when she’s done. That’s smaller than a normal sheet of paper! Amazing! She’s stitching the design over 2 threads, using handdyed Soie Surfine thread by Tentakulum. What a gorgeous piece this will be when it’s finished!
Thanks for sharing with us Annemiek, and I know we all look forward to seeing it finished.
