Sometimes, there’s a variegated thread that you really love, but what threads match the colors? And, what different combinations of threads will all look good with that specific variegated thread? Well, I’m taking that for you as well! The next several weeks I’ve taken a look at the DMC Coloris threads, and have come up with thread wheels for those as well. You can use the variegated thread as a showcase color, and then mix up the colors you choose for the solid color threads.

The DMC Coloris thread I took a look at this week is #4502, Camellia. This one is pretty, and very springy. It would make pretty combinations, with the pinks covering half of the circle, but the pale green and blue accenting it.

For each of these thread scheme, or palettes, , I’ll include both an image showing how it was built (to the left), and a thread color schemes, with actual thread numbers, that you can print out. Feel free to save these cards, because you never know when you’ll need them.
