Today we’re going to look at another simple blackwork fill. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll also be showing how to add variation to this type of repeat. Playing around with fills, you’ll begin to see lots of ways to switch things up and begin to come up with your own pattern repeats.
As a needleworker and a crafter, I’m certain that you’ve seen or played with variegated threads or yarn. These multi-colored threads make it easy to introduce a lot of color into your needlework project, without having the hassle of constantly changing threads. But have you truly unleashed those threads to really shine?
And here it goes, let’s get ourselves stitching blackwork, and finding inspiration just from taking a look at fills each Friday. The first one is really a simple one, and one which I’ve seen stitched in all ages.
