PostHeaderIcon Goodbye to Stitchin’board and Stitchin’sight

As I am reworking the Stitchin’spiration website, I am also making an attempt to consolidate places that you’ll find Stitchin’spiration news and information. During my “sabbatical”, I realized how convoluted things had gotten, and how many steps I had to go through just to get new designs out to you – the stitcher. That time, I realized, took away precious time from designing and stitching. The end result, however, always seemed to duplicate information also, so sometimes ended up being over-information.

I also began having a problem with spammers finding both registrations, and I have not been able to keep up with the flood of fake registration requests. I apologize to any stitchers who had tried to register on either site, and were not approved.

In the future, you will find all information on the Stitchin’spiration website.

Have no fear, the new website, I believe, brings you many of the things that the Stitchin’board and Stitchin’sight brought you.

  • Updated information to your e-mail box: With the new website redesign, I now have an RSS Syndicate feed link set up. Don’t know what RSS is? Here’s a website which should help explain it a bit for you. Basically, if you “subscribe” to the Stitchin’spiration RSS feed, then you’ll automatically receive notice of all updates and articles – as soon as I upload them – through either your internet browser, or your e-mail program.

  • Comments / discussion: The updated website also now offers stitchers the ability to comment on articles, hopefully keeping the discussion alive.

  • Easy searching: The updated website now offers you a standard “search” box in the upper right-hand corner, but also has easy access to finding information on the top-used keywords from all the articles. Find the “cloud” of keywords in the left-hand column of all the pages.

  • Revised Design Gallery: The redesigned Design Gallery gives you larger images of our charts and notecards, and should prove easier to find your favorite designs.

  • More information on designs: I plan on giving you more “back stories” of many of our designs, and future designs. Each design does have a story, and I’d love for you to get to know them better.

  • Needlework Building Blocks: You’ll continue to find NBB freebies on our website, although I will be re-vamping the program. During my hiatus, I began working through some new ideas for this series, and look forward to introducing you to them.

I appreciate all the members of both the Stitchin’board and the Stitchin’sight, and hope that you’ll still join us at Stitchin’spiration. Please let me know what you think of the website, and what you’d love to see on it.

Happy stitchin’!
