PostHeaderIcon Project Ideas – we need you

Have you taken a Stitchin’spiration design, and done something creative with it? Do you have a project using our designs that you’d like to show off? If so, then let me know about it.

Take a moment to send me a message, giving the link to your blog or website, and we’ll see about sharing it here.

Personally, nothing inspires me more than seeing what you wonderful stitchers do with these designs, and I’m sure I’m not the only one looking for neat ways to use stitching.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Happy stitchin’!

PostHeaderIcon Blackwork on Weaving

I happened upon what I think is a fun way to use blackwork, and wanted to share it with you. Crochet Lady has taken our LOVE freebie design, and has stitched it on hand-woven fabric. She then joined them, along with other blackwork woven squares, into a beautiful larger piece. What a neat way to incorporate not only a love of blackwork, but also the love of weaving.

Thanks for sharing your work Crochet Lady, and for doing such beautiful work!

PostHeaderIcon Albemarle in Miniature

2008-12-03 Annemiek stitching Albemarle on 50 count fabric It’s always fun to find out what neat things are being done with designs after they leave my hands, and I love seeing all the different selections which stitchers make. Back in February at the Nashville market, a shop owner from the Netherlands shared what her plans were for one of my most popular designs – Albemarle. Well, I found her update last night in her blog, and thought I’d share it.

Albemarle, which is 178 stitches by 178 stitches, on the 50 count fabric, will be just at 7″ square when she’s done. That’s smaller than a normal sheet of paper! Amazing! She’s stitching the design over 2 threads, using handdyed Soie Surfine thread by Tentakulum. What a gorgeous piece this will be when it’s finished!

Thanks for sharing with us Annemiek, and I know we all look forward to seeing it finished.
